The Character

Played by Nathan Fillion, Mal is the Captain of Serenity.

Mal was a browncoat commander in the war between the Alliance and the Browncoats. He still holds the opinion that the Alliance shouldn't have control over all the colonised worlds and is bitter that they won the war.

He bought Serenity after the war and, together with Zoe, put a crew together. Reynolds is a fair man with decent morals and an intense sense of loyalty.
