Episode nine: War Stories

Inara heads off to meet a female client, a councilor, as Wash argues with Mal that him and Zoe are spending too much time together.

As a compromise, Wash accompanies Mal on their next mission to sell some of the Ariel medical supplies. Unfortunatly for Wash, it turns out it was an ambush as the guys wake up in the torturing room of the contractor who the offended by not completing their preious Train Job.

As the torturing is happening, Zoe musters up as much cash as she can and goes to see if she can buy her and captain and lovers freedom. Unfortunatly, she only has enough money for one and so she chooses Wash who the contractor gives over along with change in the form of Mals ear.

Upon return to Serenity, the entire crew buckle up for a rescue mission to get Mal back. They fight their way in and out and save the Captain. Simon reattachs Mals ear using some equipment they got loaned from Inaras client and thus the day is once again saved or healed in this case.
