Episode six: Jaynestown

The episode is set in Canton where local legends tell of a man named Jayne!

Landing on a planet to pick up some merchandise and allow Inara to meet a client, the Crew find that Jayne is famous with the local people as a hero because of a side effect of a botched mission with another crew years ago

Using Jaynes newly found fame to have a good time, the crew settle in. Meanwhile, one of his old comrades is released and told where Jayne is when his identity is revealed to a local offical of the magistrate who they robbed from. The only problem is Jaynes old buddy is annoyed as Jayne abandoned him after the botched robbery.

The crew decide to leave when the local magistrates forces come after them. Then Jayne is confronted by his old crewmate who attempts to kill him. Jayne is saved by a local boy jumping in the bullets way and thus losing his own to save Jaynes life. The ship takes off and all is well again except for a deeply philosophical Jayne.
